Where Learning is an Adventure
A student-centered, inquiry-based curriculum designed specifically for our amazing G3C learners at Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy
Our curriculum is built around YOU - our unique G3C students with diverse backgrounds, interests, and learning needs.
Every unit starts with YOUR wonder questions. What do you want to know? What are you curious about? You lead the learning!
Every unit has 3 project options. Want to make a video? Design a poster? Write a book? YOU choose what excites you!
ESL support at YOUR level. Extra help when you need it. Extensions when you're ready. We meet you where you are!
Our inquiry-based curriculum integrates Cambridge Global English 4 (CGE4) and National Geographic Reach Higher 3 (NGRH3), creating a comprehensive, research-based learning experience designed specifically for English language learners in Grade 3.
Role: Provides the thematic framework and content knowledge
Role: Provides ESL-specific scaffolding and language development
CGE4 provides the what (content and themes), while NGRH3 provides the how (language scaffolding and ESL support). Together, they create a powerful learning system where students build both content knowledge and language proficiency simultaneously. Each unit uses CGE4 for core instruction and NGRH3 for differentiated practice, ensuring all students can access grade-level content regardless of their English proficiency level.
